The old town of Chiclana is 6 kms from the beaches of La Barrosa and is a great place to visit to buy fresh local produce, including fish, meat and vegetables and then enjoy a coffee in one of the many narrow streets.
The Chiclana area is renowned for its beauty with protected nature parks, stunning beaches and wonderful sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches of La Barrosa are the envy of the region and extend for 8 kms. White sand, backed by sand dunes and pine trees they extend to rocky points and wrap around to the estuary and marina of Sancti Petri. Here you can eat and drink or enjoy the activities arranged by the water sports centre or go for a boat ride around Sancti Petri Island.
